Check Out Our 2nd Annual Hat-trick for Humanity HIGHLIGHTS video:
On February 9th, 2018 we hosted our second annual Hat-Trick for Humanity event in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. This client appreciation event featured a full day of hockey right in our backyard, with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity GTA.
From as early as 9 a.m. to late in the evening, engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, and product manufacturers laced up their skates and faced each on the ice! We also enjoyed Tim Horton’s, treats from Beavertails and a full-service lunch and dinner from Haute Eats Catering which among other meals also included poutine – can we get any more Canadian?
What’s more, we were able to raise $7K to help Habitat for Humanity’s mission of affordable home ownership.

Updates from the game:
The day started off with Bracket A: which featured shorter 10-minute round-robin games. The winners then made it over to a longer 15-minute semi-final game. The teams that played in Bracket A included: Crossey Engineering, The Entrust Engineering Pylons, The Trespa Titans, ATS Flushers, and Dobbin Wildcats.
The ATS Flushers and Dobbin Wildcats made it to the quarter-finals! The ATS Flushers flushed the competition down, turning their competitors into wet cats, and moved on to face Crossey Engineering in the Semi-finals. Then in the finals, the ATS Flushers and the Dobbin Wild Cats, faced against each other once more. This time the Dobbin Wildcats dominated, winning Bracket A.
In the afternoon, after fueling up on coffee, dessert, and warm lunch, we started Bracket B. The teams in this round were The Mitchell Partnership, Smith + Andersen, Morris Lee Indestructible, the Zoeller Grinders, and the RDZ-MSB Flyers.
Smith + Andersen faced off against the Morris Lee Indestructibles in the quarter-finals, with Smith + Andersen moving on to face the RDZ-MSB Flyers in the semi-finals. The RDZ-MSB defeated their opponents moving on to the finals against TMP where the Flyers shot like a storm to bring home The ATS Toilet Bowl Trophy!
Way to go RDZ-MSB Flyers! This is an honor of the highest kind.
Prizes
Throughout the day we had plenty of raffle draws giving away some amazing gifts generously donated to us. These prizes included: Magic Bullet, Keurig Coffee machine, wireless speakers, Instaprinter, VIP Dinner package, gifts bags, gift cards, solar-powered sound system, and a hockey stick signed by the entire Toronto Maple Leafs team!
We also had activities including beer pong, foosball, cornhole, and some pretty intense Nintendo competitions. All in all, it was a day full of fun and play.
