Hockey eh?
This year’s 4th annual Hat-Trick for Humanity took place on February 6-7th, where 16 teams battled for the winning title on the ice! Engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, and product manufacturers came together for an amazing cause to support SickKids Foundation while having fun. We managed to surpass our bi-yearly goal by raising $56,095 to support the construction of the new SickKids hospital! Not only did this event cater delicious food, but it also kept spectators dancing to their favorite tunes with live entertainment. We are so thankful to those who supported Hat-Trick for Humanity and can’t wait for next year’s competition!
Updates from the Game:
Playing 15-minute round-robin matches, and 20-minute playoff games, the tournament held two brackets on day one (A and B), and two brackets on day two (C and D). Bracket A’s final was a faceoff between Flynn Group of Companies and Security Compass, to which the Flynn Group of Companies team took the trophy! Congratulations on the win and great sportsmanship throughout the game.
Another impressive game with Trespa Titans against Dobbin Sales Wildcats, resulting in Trespa being deemed the Bracket B winner!
Bracket D was a tough game against Smith + Anderson that tied, only to be broken with a shoot-out, making BMO the final champions at Hat-Trick! 
All teams played hard and gave it their all. Excited to see their talent prevail again next year.

Food & Prizes
The players weren’t the only ones having fun on the ice! A mini skating rink was created for the guests and kids to enjoy the winter weather. Hat-Trick for Humanity also had a silent auction for great prizes such as a pair of Maple Leaf tickets, a signed Leaf hockey stick, three signed NHL Jerseys, and more! This year a new addition was added to the auction; custom benches made out of Trespa® cutoffs! These benches stand 6′ high and are 30” wide, consisting of 2 shelves above and a cup holder to put your beer in.
Players and guests also enjoyed some indoor competition with Table Tennis, Foosball, and Jenga. With a full day of hockey and fun activities, we also had great food ready for all to enjoy, and what would Canadians serve? BeaverTails and poutine, along with yummy chili and burgers.
